Olay vs. Clarisonic

By Briana Greene—Mia 2
I am in love and her name is Mia 2. That’s right: it’s the new “Clarisonic Mia 2” in passion fruit that has captured my heart and now has me completely hooked.
For those of you that have no idea what I am talking about, the Clarisonic Mia 2 is the latest product that is sweeping the beauty world by storm and has no intention of leaving any time soon. It is a facial cleansing system that cleans your face six times more efficiently than your hands ever will.
I absolutely love this product because not only does it give you a deeper cleanse than your hands but it leaves your face feeling softer, smoother, and cleaner. Not only that but you can get any other Clarisonic cleansing system that fits your needs such as “Aria,” “Mia,” “Mia 2,” “Acne,” and “Plus.”
The reasons why I decided to try out the Mia 2 and not the other cleansing systems are due to the variety of color choices and the price. I love the fact that the Mia 2 gives you more color choices to choose from so that it has a more personal touch to it.
Another reason why I love this is because of the price. It only costs $150 but that is cheap compared to the other cleansing systems on the market and is fairly reasonable.
Now to some the price maybe nothing and seem affordable but to others it’s just too much money to spend on a facial cleaning system, which I understand. We are all in college so we are all broke by default but don’t worry: there are dozens of “dupes” or duplicates that are more affordable and do the same thing.
One dupe that I absolutely love is Olay’s “Pro X.” It is essentially the same as the Clarisonic but more than half the cost at only $30. It is so much affordable than the Clarisonic and even more durable as well as water-proof.
Olay’s pro xSince it’s a dupe I was expecting it to break down within the first week of using it but I was so wrong. It’s been three months and it still has not run out of battery life, broke or electrocuted me.
Whether you want the dupe or the real Clarisonic depends on you and your preferences. If you feel like you don’t want to spend that much money on something that only cleans your face but still want to experience it and be part of the trend, I suggest getting the Olay Pro X.   However, if money is no problem for you and you don’t mind spending it then I suggest the Clarisonic. Honestly from my personal experience I love them both and I recommend either because no matter which one you use, you will love it!
