Falcons VS Rams Pregame

The Fitchburg State Falcons open up their first game in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) playing against Framingham State at Bowditch Field on Saturday, Sept. 19 at noon. The Fitchburg State Falcons are coming off of a 31-3 victory over the Curry College Colonels while the Framingham State Rams dropped a 61-49 decision against Cortland State last week.
Saturday’s game will display the 31st meeting between the Fitchburg State Falcons and the Framingham State Rams. The Rams hold a 19-11 overall record against the Falcons and have won the previous six meetings between the two teams.

leading rushers on the team combining for 266 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, while wide receiver Taylor Ekstrom leads all receivers with 10 catches for 78 yards. Senior defensive back Taron Seaforth-Howard, MASCAC defensive player of the week following the crushing 31-3 defeat against Curry College, has posted a team-best 15 tackles on 14 solo stops and one assist along with three passes defended and an interception.
Framingham State’s senior quarterback Matt Silva has thrown for 771 yards (72-of-94) with 10 touchdowns, while junior running back Trevon Offley leads the Rams on the ground with 105 yards on 23 carries. Receivers Tevin Jones and Jared Gauthier combine for 35 catches and six touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, sophomore Svenn Jacobson has 14 tackles and one forced fumble.
Saturday’s showdown opens up Fitchburg State’s conference play as it takes on the Rams of Framingham State University for the first of eight MASCAC games of the 2015 season.
