NFL predictions: Week 9

Quentin Groves and his team, the Oakland Raiders, have a tough road ahead of them this week.

By Jeremy Weiner, Alex Teal and Kendell Sweeney-Thomas

We return again after another bye week. There are a lot of good games on tap for this weekend, so we’ll tell you who we feel will come out on top. Whether you agree or disagree, we want to hear what you think.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Atlanta Falcons

Jeremy: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Kendell: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Alex: Atlanta Falcons
Kendell:  LeGarrette Blount turned a lot of heads after last week’s powerful running performance in that win against the Cardinals, and I see him gaining some more success against a Falcons’ run defense that’s nothing special.

Miami Dolphins @ Baltimore Ravens

Jeremy: Miami Dolphins
Kendell: Baltimore Ravens
Alex: Baltimore Ravens
Jeremy: Miami is undefeated on the road. They can’t win games at home. Shutting down Flacco and  Rice won’t be a problem.

Chicago Bears @ Buffalo Bills

Jeremy: Buffalo Bills
Kendell: Chicago Bears
Alex: Chicago Bears
Kendell: The Bears can easily win this game if they can score often and early, crushing the spirit of the Bills from the start. Chicago could end up with a tough game on their hands if they can’t make it to the end zone in the first half.

New Orleans Saints @Carolina Panthers

Jeremy: New Orleans Saints
Kendell: New Orleans Saints
Alex: New Orleans Saints
Jeremy: Sit back and watch. The New Orleans Saints are going to get back to Super Bowl form. Reggie Bush should return soon. Easy win for the “WHO DAT” nation.

New England Patriots @ Cleveland Browns

Jeremy: New England Patriots
Kendell: Cleveland Browns
Alex: New England Patriots
Kendell: I’m going out on a limb and looking for the upset kings (the Browns) to surprise New England and win this game at home. If they can cause trouble for the Saints they can disrupt anybody.

New York Jets @ Detroit Lions

Jeremy: Detroit Lions
Kendell: Detroit Lions
Alex: New York Jets
Jeremy: The Detroit Lions are fierce. They have an explosive offense. Mark Sanchez will continue to struggle, as Detroit overcomes New York with a BIG win.
San Diego Chargers @ Houston Texans
Jeremy: Houston Texans
Kendell: Houston Texans
Alex: Houston Texans
Kendell: With Antonio Gates possibly out for Sunday, Philip Rivers will have no one to throw to.

Arizona Cardinals @ Minnesota Vikings

Jeremy: Minnesota Vikings
Kendell: Minnesota Vikings
Alex: Minnesota Vikings
Jeremy: Minnesota is out for blood. They got rid of their cancer, Randy Moss, and now look to focus on winning.

New York Giants @ Seattle Seahawks

Jeremy: New York Giants
Kendell: New York Giants
Alex: Seattle Seahawks
Kendell: The Giants advance to 6-2 on the season after a thorough victory in Seattle. They beat the Seahawks on offense, defense, and special teams in Week 9.

Kansas City @ Oakland Raiders

Jeremy: Kansas City Chiefs
Kendell: Kansas City Chiefs
Alex: Kansas City Chiefs
Alex: The Chiefs prove they are going to be division champs in picking up a big AFC West win.

Indianapolis Colts @ Philadelphia Eagles

Jeremy: Indianapolis Colts
Kendell:  Indianapolis Colts
Alex: Indianapolis Colts
Alex: Peyton Manning is once again too much for to handle for an opposing defense.

Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers

Jeremy: Green Bay Packers
Kendell: Green Bay Packers
Alex: Green Bay Packers
Kendell: Lambeau Field is going to be a tough place for the Cowboys to just stroll in and swipe a victory from the Packers, who are pretty much a better version of Dallas. Clay Matthews terrorizes the Cowboys offense relentlessly all game.

 Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals

Jeremy: Pittsburgh Steelers
Kendell: Cincinnati Bengals
Alex: Pittsburgh Steelers
Alex: The Steelers bounce back after a tough loss to the defending Super Bowl Champs.
So there are your Week 9 NFL picks. It’ll be exciting to see how each game pans out. We had some gutsy picks – like Cleveland over New England – but who knows, anything can happen this year.
