Men’s Baseball
During spring break, Men’s Baseball headed down South to Auburndale, FL to begin their 2025 campaign. With a record of 3-6, some of the key performances in FL started off with Jovanni Merced delivering an excellent performance against Delaware State only giving up 2 hits. The Falcons had a double header against Simpson College, ending up splitting the series. Many Falcons contributed to the offense for Fitchburg getting their First Collegiate hits. We look forward to seeing the falcons back in action against Salem State at home Friday, Mar. 28th.
Women’s Softball
Women’s Softball attended the Space Coast Spring Games in Melbourne, FL during their spring break, ultimately returning home with a record of 1-9. Despite the record, the Falcons fought hard and showcased determination throughout the week. The win against Webster College showcased some highlight performances, with Pricilla Dillion leading the way for Fitchburg going 2-2 with a home run, one run, and four RBI. Jessica Mueller finished 3-3 with a double, two runs, and two RBI for the Green and Gold. Mackenzie Leveille secured the win for the Falcons allowing six runs (five earned) on seven hits and three walks. We look forward to seeing Softball compete against Salem State on Sat. Mar. 29th.
Men’s Ice Hockey
On Mar. 8th, 2025, Fitchburg State clinched their 3rd MASCAC Title with a dominant win over the Trailblazers of MCLA with a score of 3-1. Hunter Dunn claimed the MASCAC MVP with an outstanding performance of 2 goals and an assist in the game. Max Macchioni sealed the win for the Falcons with a 28 save performance. The Falcons went on the road to play Utica in the first round of the NCAA D3 Tournament. The Falcons fell to the Utica University Pioneers by a score of 5-1. The ice hockey team concluded their 2024-2025 season with a record of 15-13-1, and look forward to defending their title next year.
Men’s Indoor Track
The Men’s indoor track team competed in the All-New England Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center Saturday, Mar. 8th. Cameron Monette led the way finishing 12th overall in the weight throw with a toss of 15.75 meters. Liam Bourassa finished with a 13th place effort in the weight throw with a toss of 15.74 meters, and a 2nd place finish in the shotput scoring 15.33 meters. Throughout the indoor season we have seen some remarkable performances and will continue to cheer on our Falcons as the Outdoor campaign begins.
Women’s Lacrosse
Fitchburg Lacrosse headed down to Panama City, FL to compete in the Spring Fling Tournament at Public Park. Unfortunately dropping a pair of games to Suny Canton and Vassar, some Sunshine State Showings were seen in the Green and Gold, Delaney Ponder scored six goals, two ground balls and six draw controls, meanwhile St. George finished with an own goal, one ground ball, and three draw controls against Suny Canton. Dakin Kovatch made five saves for the Falcons. Against Vassar, Autumn Tibbets notched a pair of goals, with Delaney Ponder adding an assist to the game. Kovatch shut the door with five saves against the Brewers of Vassar. The Lacrosse team is back in action Thursday, Mar. 27th against Plymouth State, and at Home Saturday, Mar. 29th at 12:00PM against the Rams of Framingham State.
