About
The Point is Fitchburg State University’s student newspaper, covering the heart of what matters to the campus community. Established in 1916, we have always provided the Fitchburg area with news that documents, informs, and has a true impact on the local community. Our publication boasts a fiercely independent staff and has maintained and withheld a set of valued principles that have set national standards for freedom of the press at a collegiate level.
The Point is proud to offer our print publication at no charge to the community. Keeping both the campus and local population informed and aware of detailed and informative news coverage is what our publication strives for. Interested readers can find the latest issues on newsracks in Hammond Hall, Holmes Dining Hall, and coming soon to the Antonucci Science Complex, Conlon Hall, and the Athletics and Recreation Center. Alternatively, our website offers exclusive features such as interactive elements and social media integration.
