Celtics Beat 76ers 109-101

In the first of back to back games, the Celtics hoped to make a three game winning streak against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night. They did, but it wasn’t pretty. Lead scorer Avery Bradley with a season high 22 points was an offensive boon to the C’s.
“My teammates have confidence in me and I have confidence in myself.” Said Bradley. “When I have an open shot, I have to take it. That’s how we play on this team. It helps us when I do that.”
The Celtics were 12-4 since Rondo’s season ending injury, with the whole team stepping up to fill the void he left, succeeding for the most part. Not to say that both teams weren’t playing sloppy. At one point, both sides were 15 of 32 from the field.
The Celtics were ahead of the Sixers all night, the closest lead being 5 points in the third.  Newbie Jordan Crawford came off the bench with 12 points, scoring two 3-pointers at the start of the fourth quarter, bringing the C’s to a lead that they maintained until their victory.
The Sixers have lost 9 of 10 of their recent games. Plagued by injuries to star players Andre Iguodala and Lou Williams and a roster that can’t put the fire power back into the team.
Jrue Holiday, in his All-Star season, scored 18 points with 10 assists At one point in the game, it seemed that he was injured, falling to the floor grabbing his ankle. He kept playing, though he wasn’t steady on his feet at first.
Evan Turner scored 18 points, and Thaddeus Young had 19 and 10 rebounds. They only made 41 of 100 shots from the floor.
Celtics increased their streak to four wins in a row in their win against the Indiana Pacers the next night (83-81). They play the Atlanta Hawks on Friday at 8pm.
