PechaKucha Night on Thursday, February 26

Fitchburg, MA– PechaKucha Nights/Fitchburg returns on Thursday, February 26 with Vol. 3 at DeStaré Martini Bar, 320 Main Street, Fitchburg. The only PechaKucha night in central Massachusetts is coming back with presenters addressing the theme “Language” in their discussions. The event opens at 8:00 p.m. with presentations scheduled to start at 8:20 p.m. sharp. Admission is free. At this particular event, students can get a 10% discount at Chaibo with their OneCard during PechaKucha.
Confirmed speakers for the February event include Wil Darcangelo, Kenisha Coy, and Eric Boughton. There will even be a sign-language interpreter for the event.
PechaKucha is an open forum of sharing. The atmosphere of PechaKucha is relaxed and features scheduled presenters discussing a topic of their choice around a central theme. Presentations include 20 image slides shown for 20 seconds each, with presentations totaling 6 minutes and 40 seconds of talking time. Scheduled breaks between presentations to allow everyone a chance for conversation, refreshments, to make connections, and to share ideas one-on-one.

It was created by Klein Dytham architecture in Tokyo in 2003 as an opportunity for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. PechaKucha has since turned into a massive celebration with events happening in 700 cities around the world, inspiring creatives worldwide.
