Several Fitchburg State University students have been left temporarily homeless after fire burned their house this morning at 190 Highland Ave.
The fire, which started at 5:00 am on Friday, February 11, “destroyed the second and third floors,” acting Deputy Fire Chief Brian Belliveau told the Fitchburg Sentinel.
After 2 hours, and aided by 24 firefighters, the fire was finally subdued.
Traffic was detoured due to the fire, according to Campus Police Chief James Hamel.
